Lost foam casting
Lost foam casting refers to a casting method that uses high density polyfoam as a one-time gasification pattern, applies refractory coating on the pattern and dries it, uses furan resin sand for moulding, and pours molten metal without taking out the pattern after moulding. Under the effect of molten metal, the polyfoam pattern burns, vaporizes, and disappears, the molten metal replaces the space occupied by the polyfoam pattern, and obtains the required castings after cooling and solidification.
